Jewel of Auge region, the castle of Saint Germain de Livet, registred historic monument, is noteworthy for its architecture. Surrounded by a moat, the estate is made up of two parts : a wooden beamed manor from the 15th century and a store and brick construction dating from the end of the 16th century. The guardroom is an essential step in the discovery of the castle, with some superb frescoes from the end of the 16th century.
Mementos of artists like Delacroix and Daudet, this 15th and 16th century building, comprising a magnificent half-timbered manor and a glazed brick house, opens its door to you. This stately home, which has kept its period furniture, may rightly be described as a “little gem for a child princess” . Garden “Abbé Marie” near the castle.
